Overview:

The Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF) is seeking a passionate and results focused policy advocacy professional to spearhead an international programme of work that promotes and ensures accountability and openness in fisheries governance.

Alongside Oceana and Global Fishing Watch, EJF also acts as Co-Chair of the Coalition of Fisheries Transparency, the international movement and vehicle that fuels both the endorsement of the Global Charter for Fisheries Transparency, and the implementation of its principles.

The Role:

Combining strategic vision and practical delivery across multiple countries and states worldwide, you will build high-level relationships with policymakers, civil society, and industry to influence and advance systemic change and reform in the UK.

As a visible leader of the movement, you will drive EJF’s global campaign strategy, galvanising and steering teams worldwide behind a shared mission of impact, consistency, and collaboration. You’ll track progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that global adoption of the Charter’s translates into real legislative change.

Ensuring that evidence from EJF’s investigations is delivered with credibility and impact, you will convert hard facts into powerful advocacy. Your efforts will shape conversations with global decision-makers and feature across major media, events, and international forums, and you will at times travel to key summits, EJF’s global offices, and Washington, DC, where the Coalition is based.

You:

As a confident and inspiring leader, you will be adept at influencing lawmakers as well as managing multiple campaign movements at different stages of growth, in an international capacity. Political nous and acumen, a proven record in global advocacy, and a passion for driving policy change are also essential to the success of this role.
