Launch of EJF’s JUST Pop Up Shop on London's Carnaby Street

By EJF Staff

EJF hosted an evening with Cool Earth and friends at our new Pop Up shop on Carnaby Street. Supporters, members, patrons and volunteers came together for a debate on how we can inspire urgent action on climate change and for the launch of EJF’s new project with Kimberly Wyatt.

Steve Trent, EJF’s Executive Director, introduced the debate by getting straight to the point:

“My message today is very simple, two lines almost. The 50 least developed countries in the world produce less than 1% of the world’s carbon emissions. At the same time those countries are going to be affected first, hardest and longest by climate change."

We were joined by Matthew Owen, Director of Cool Earth, who kindly commented:

“I’m really glad to be here because we’re being associated with, I think, the smartest organisation in this generalised movement. The Environmental Justice Foundation are doing everything right and to be honest they taught us what we should be doing."

We were also delighted to announce a new project with Kimberly Wyatt, who has generously donated a collection of one-off pieces to EJF including a Vivienne Westwood red-carpet dress. These items are currently exclusively on sale at the Pop Up shop JUST at 46 Carnaby Street and all proceeds will go directly to EJF.

Many thanks to Kimberly, Max Rogers and Davina McCall for making the evening such a great success.
