The Environmental Justice Foundation’s (EJF) 8th London pop-up shop ‘JUST…BIG TREES little bees’ is re-opening in the classy Kingly Court to continue promoting sustainability through fashion and EJF’s Save the Bees campaign.

‘JUST… BIG TREES little bees', will continue to bring advocacy for bees into the heart of London by popping up in a new location at G3 Kingly Court, Carnaby Street, London W1B 5PW. The shop opened on the 17th of August and will remain open until mid September.

The bee-themed pop up shop was created in celebration of EJF’s new Woodlands Project and to continue raising awareness for the UK’s dwindling pollinator populations.

Bee t-shirts in poignant designs by ethical clothing brand Rapanui (and pop art fashion label The Rodnik Band), will be on sale to give Kingly Court’s green-minded shoppers something to buzz about. Customers can further support EJFs bee campaign and offset the carbon emissions involved in washing their t-shirt, with a voluntary £1.00 donation towards EJFs new Woodland Project. This project will see EJF invest in a large patch of deciduous woodland, providing vital habitat for pollinators as well as offsetting EJF’s inevitable carbon footprint. The area of woodland will initially be 5 acres (approximately the length of a football pitch squared) and will be extended over time.

The shop also boasts further ranges of designer t-shirts in support of EJF’s other ongoing campaigns, including the classic ‘Save the Future’ design by Katharine Hamnett and Vivienne Westwood’s War/Peace t-shirt for climate refugees which is exclusive to EJF. All t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton, and are carbon neutral and fairly traded. As part of EJF’s campaign to ‘Pick your Cotton Carefully’, the t-shirts aim to raise awareness of issues such as forced child labour and deadly pesticides in cotton production and encourage consumers to think about where their cotton comes from. All proceeds made from the t-shirts go directly to the charity.

Carnaby and Shaftesbury Plc. have generously donated this space, making it possible for EJF to pop-up again immediately after closing the previous ‘JUST…BIG TREES little bees’ shop at Foubert’s place. Since 2008 Carnaby and Shaftesbusy Plc. have helped EJF to raise over £70,000 through our pop up shops, which goes directly to the work EJF does to protect people and planet.

Top designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Katharine Hamnett, Giles Deacon, Alice Temperley and Christian Lacroix have all supported EJF by creating bespoke designs and a host of EJF celebrity supporters have worn our t-shirts including, Jason Flemyng, Lily Cole, Naomi Campbell, Emilia Fox, Gemma Kidd, James Blunt, Gillian Anderson and many more. We are also proud to have been a finalist for the Ethical Fashion Forum's Source Awards 2012.
