Last Friday we were delighted to see so many great ethical brands and designers come together at EJF’s Pop Up shop JUST on London's Carnaby street for the launch of The Rodnik Band’s oceans-themed collection and Pure Thread’s ethical designer brands.

The evening was a great success. It was sponsored by Continental Clothing Company, an ethical designer and manufacturer whose basics T-shirts and jumpers can be found in store. Continental Clothing offers a wealth of knowledge and information about sourcing ethical cotton and has long partnered with EJF to encourage and assist entire supply chains to adopt environmentally sustainable and ethical production methods.

Philip Colbert – the designer for The Rodnik Band, a pop art-inspired fashion label famous for outlandish sequin dresses, bold handbags, and fun ready-to-wear clothing – unveiled his sea-inspired collection which aims to raise awareness and funds for EJF's Save the Sea Campaign.

The collection includes lobster prints, sailor dresses, yellow submarines and a unique Fish ‘n’ Chips dress which is on auction until the shop closes at the end of the year. Bidding starts at £300 and proceeds will be donated to EJF.

Pure Thread has also opened up downstairs, showcasing their sustainable style brands. Jocelyn Whipple, leading light of Livia Firth’s Green Carpet Challenge™, joins with Jill Heller, owner of New York’s legendary Pure Thread, to host this exclusive pop up. British shoppers get a chance to try exquisite ethical brands such as Kami Organic, Komodo, L’Herbe Rouge and more. These brands are proving to the world that ethics and chic go together. This ethical haven is a must see and with autumn styles, winter coats, shoes, bags and accessories you’ll be sure to find that great Christmas outfit.

All EJF T-shirts created by top fashion designers – think Vivienne Westwood, Katharine Hamnett, Giles Deacon, Christian Lacroix, among others – can also be found in store along with some great Christmas gifts: a scented candle from the Isle of Skye, beaded jewellery from rainforest charity Cool Earth and even some organic chocolate from Original Beans.
