Santas and Elves Run for EJF

By EJF Staff

A very warm thank you to all the 43 wonderful Santas who ran, walked, laughed and jumped 5km and 10km around London's Greenwich Park for EJF!

The day – Sunday 9th December – was a success: first, it was sunny; and second, EJF's Santas came in 3rd and 8th out of some 3,000 Santas.

We are very proud of you all, and especially of the two wonderful Elves who bravely scootered 10km for us – thank you!

So far, you raised over £3,560.27 in much-needed funds for EJF's work on pirate fishing and climate refugees, and we're expecting even more to come as some of you are still actively fundraising. After all, one doesn't get to run around in a Santa suit and beard every day!

A special thanks goes to our corporate sponsor Suzanne James for providing delicious mince pies to re-energise our runners, and Annapurna HR, EJF's 1% For the Planet partner, for putting together a team to make our Santa Run run smoothly.

We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.
